* An independent and respected research organization, the National Center for Research on Evaluation, Standards, and Student Testing (CRESST) at the University of California, Los Angeles, conducted an extensive evaluation study of Seeds of Science/Roots of Reading units during the field trials at Grades 2-4, analyzing results and contacting field test teachers on their own.
